The Crucified Life (PART 1)

Emphasis: Freedom from the TRUTH

Text: Gal 2: 20, Matt 10: 39, John 8: 32

Christianity is not a religion neither is Christianity a way of life as it has been erroneously taught. Christianity, is the losing of an old life and the consequent acquiring of a new one. In other words the old life must be crucified with Christ, (Gal 2: 20) please note; not being crucified in Christ as we have also been taught. It is true that Christ has finished all and by faith we are seated in heavenly places in Him but the pathway to heavenly places is to be crucified with Him. This means the only way to glory is through the cross, a very unpopular message in our assemblies today.

In this part of the teaching we will look at the five F’s that freedom brings after crucifixion with Christ. In (John 8: 32), Jesus said that Freedom cometh by knowledge of the truth, knowledge is not sensual. Knowledge is the Holy Spirit witnessing to the believer’s Spirit, causing him therefore to live that which he has known. True freedom is in living the life of Christ that cometh from being crucified with Him.

  FREEDOM FROM FEAR

First on the list of the five F’s is freedom from fear. Importantly, we must know that faith suppressed is fear expressed. The living of a crucified life removes fear and replaces it with boldness no matter the situation. The challenge here is that God believes in us and we don’t believe in Him because of the grip of fear in us. Fear is a killer and can be eliminated by living a crucified life. Another important thing of note when we talk about fear is that it has torment (1 John 4:18). That itself kills people before their appointed time but thanks be to God who has given us victory, we are not given the spirit of fear but that of power, love, and sound mind which eliminates fear (2 Timothy 1:7).

   FREEDOM FROM FAILURE

Secondly, a crucified life guarantees freedom from failure. Such life is a life of success. Mark you, we are not talking about success in the context of just material things or by what men define as success but by the measure of the person’s performance with regards to the expectation of God for that person.

   FREEDOM FROM FRIENDS

Thirdly, freedom from friends this path is a lonely one and which in most cases cannot accommodate a friend going with one except on few occasions were one has friends of like minds that would not be distractions along the line. But this is very rare. A crucified life knows no classmate. This means my mate, my classmate syndrome that drives people who are not crucified will not hold sway in the life of a crucified person. With crucifixion one is delivered from envy, competition, etc. that emanate from people comparing themselves with themselves as friends which eventually leads to witchcraftcy.

   FREEDOM FROM FAMILY

Fourthly, it also frees one from family, their yokes and generational yokes. It delivers from the negatives that runs in the family bloodlines so nothing like “our family sickness”, “people die young in the family syndrome”. This is because the old man that was subject to that order has been crucified with Christ. You can’t be crucified with him and attend family ritual of visiting family shrine or receiving incision.

   FREEDOM FROM FINANCIAL BONDAGE

Lastly, it gives freedom from financial problems. It delivers entirely from the power of mammon which could be very destructive. As the word says the love of money is the root of all evil. The crucified person’s love is no longer for money but for the master who meets all his financial needs (Psalms 23: 1). He is free from all the vices that the un-crucified person adopts to make money. When he possesses wealth he remains normal, the money does not get into his head as the one being ruled by mammon.

We will continue on this series in our next teaching. God bless you.

I was just a teenager the First time I listened to him. He had been invited for a conference and I remember while he presented the message, I was pondering over every line uttered by this man. They hit me like:
"Wow!" so much so that I thought, after the program I would personally thank him for being such a selfless tool for service! The Conference ended and I missed him because everyone just wanted time with him.
Well, I just consoled myself that "Maybe next time."
Years after, here we are getting to know more about him and his eighteen years in ministry thus far.

Now, since the Church is not a structure or ediface and we do understand  the Church to be us (The very elect of Christ who is the head of the church) it is also established that we are essentially created by God to reign and rule, just like we have been created in His own image.
Then, why the many controversies surrounding the Church and governance?

Why do the Church consider Politics as evil?

What is the place of the Church  in nation building?

What are the likely implications, if the Church remains passive in Nation building?

From the Pastor's Desk ... THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE Psa 36: 9, John 1: 4, I John 1: 7, 8 Gods breath (Gen2:7) is what made man a living soul, it means the breath of God is his very life which he gave to us (man) that made us in his image and after his likeness . This same life is in the son (JESUS CHRIST) (I John 5:12) here the bible says “he that has the son, has life and he that has not the son has not life’’ having the son therefore guarantee life to every believer. Life in itself is the very essence of our existence as God’s elect. Life is what makes us his minister and what makes up the ministry he has given us .let us start by examining the following terms; Who is a minister? A minister is a channel or a medium through whom the life of Christ flows into others. From this definition, it means a minister must have life for him to give it out; for it is impossible to give what you don’t have. It is this life that the minist...
From the Pastor's Desk ...(With Dr Alex Olugbami.) THE BLESSING OF THE DEEP (PART II) Emphasis: THE BLESSING OF THE WOMB AND THE BREAST Gen 49: 25, Isa 66: 8, 9 Our focus today will be on spiritual pregnancies, their real meaning and God’s subsequent provision. The call of God to His elect is a total package, it consists of all of God’s pleasures distinctly for an individual, in line with the volume of books written of that same individual(Psa 40: 7). The God that calleth is the same that provideth. The word provision can be broken down into two, which is ‘pro’ for the ‘vision’. The blessing of the deep is always for the propagation of the gospel of Christ Jesus. It is not for personal consumption as it has been erroneously taught. From the scripture above in (Gen 49: 25), Israel was pronouncing blessing on all his children and when it got to the turn of Joseph he mentioned the kind of blessing that is coming the way of Joseph, he said “it is the blessing...
From the Pastor's Desk ... THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE(II) I John 1: 7, Psa 119: 130, Prov 20: 27 Today, we will be looking at the light that we receive from His life as discussed previously. This light is for us to walk with him, first, in fellowship then, by extension affecting the world around us. When we walk in the light of the LORD, He sheds a glory upon our path and giveth us understanding of His very person. It is impossible to fellowship with an unknown God. It simply means as we walk in His light we get to know Him each day, each moment better. In (II Cor4: 18) here the bible says “the path of the just is like a shining light that gets brighter each day unto a perfect day”. It means therefore, that the more we fellowship with Him the more light He sheds on our path, the brighter our path gets and the more of Him we know. What then is the contemporary source of this light? When we study the scripture in (Psa 119: 130) we discover...
