From the Pastor's Desk ... THE BLESSING OF THE DEEP (PART 1) Gen 49: 25, Luke 5: 1-8, Psa 42: 7 The blessing of the deep will be discussed in two parts, the first part will be discussed today that talks about God’s blessing of the deep generally. In our next teaching we will be looking at specifics, the target of the blessing of the deep especially as it relates to God’s conception and consequent provision. To be blessed of the LORD is without sorrow (Prov 10: 22) it is to work like an ant and eat like an elephant, it is to cease from labour and to enter into God’s rest. Jesus proclaimed during his earthly ministry (Matt 11: 28, 29) that all that are in labour and are heavy laden should come unto him and in him is rest. Paul also confirmed this in (Heb 4: 9, 10) it says that “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God [did] from his”. The rest of Christ Jesus removes toiling that was placed upon ...
From the Pastor's Desk ...(With Dr Alex Olugbami.) THE BLESSING OF THE DEEP (PART II) Emphasis: THE BLESSING OF THE WOMB AND THE BREAST Gen 49: 25, Isa 66: 8, 9 Our focus today will be on spiritual pregnancies, their real meaning and God’s subsequent provision. The call of God to His elect is a total package, it consists of all of God’s pleasures distinctly for an individual, in line with the volume of books written of that same individual(Psa 40: 7). The God that calleth is the same that provideth. The word provision can be broken down into two, which is ‘pro’ for the ‘vision’. The blessing of the deep is always for the propagation of the gospel of Christ Jesus. It is not for personal consumption as it has been erroneously taught. From the scripture above in (Gen 49: 25), Israel was pronouncing blessing on all his children and when it got to the turn of Joseph he mentioned the kind of blessing that is coming the way of Joseph, he said “it is the blessing...
From the Pastor's Desk ... THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE(II) I John 1: 7, Psa 119: 130, Prov 20: 27 Today, we will be looking at the light that we receive from His life as discussed previously. This light is for us to walk with him, first, in fellowship then, by extension affecting the world around us. When we walk in the light of the LORD, He sheds a glory upon our path and giveth us understanding of His very person. It is impossible to fellowship with an unknown God. It simply means as we walk in His light we get to know Him each day, each moment better. In (II Cor4: 18) here the bible says “the path of the just is like a shining light that gets brighter each day unto a perfect day”. It means therefore, that the more we fellowship with Him the more light He sheds on our path, the brighter our path gets and the more of Him we know. What then is the contemporary source of this light? When we study the scripture in (Psa 119: 130) we discover...
From the Pastor's Desk ... THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE Psa 36: 9, John 1: 4, I John 1: 7, 8 Gods breath (Gen2:7) is what made man a living soul, it means the breath of God is his very life which he gave to us (man) that made us in his image and after his likeness . This same life is in the son (JESUS CHRIST) (I John 5:12) here the bible says “he that has the son, has life and he that has not the son has not life’’ having the son therefore guarantee life to every believer. Life in itself is the very essence of our existence as God’s elect. Life is what makes us his minister and what makes up the ministry he has given us .let us start by examining the following terms; Who is a minister? A minister is a channel or a medium through whom the life of Christ flows into others. From this definition, it means a minister must have life for him to give it out; for it is impossible to give what you don’t have. It is this life that the minist...
From the Pastor's Desk ABUNDANCE IN THE MIDST OF SCARCITY Gen 26: 12-14 God’s covenant over His own He does not break (Psa 89: 34) as long as the recipient or the covenantee keeps to the terms of the covenant. (Jer 11: 2 NIV) here the scripture says “blessed is he who obeys the covenant terms of God’s covenant”; it also means cursed is anyone who does not obey the terms. Every covenant has 3 integral elements;         I.            The covenantor/ the initiator;       II.            The covenantee(the recipient or the beneficiary);    III.            The terms of the covenant (The do’s and don’ts); Rules and regulations that guide each party in the common covenant; ignorance to the terms is not acceptable neither is it an excuse. Everyone must strive to first understand the terms ...
