THE BLESSING OF THE DEEP (PART 1) Gen 49: 25, Luke 5: 1-8, Psa 42: 7 The blessing of the deep will be discussed in two parts, the first part will be discussed today that talks about God’s blessing of the deep generally. In our next teaching we will be looking at specifics, the target of the blessing of the deep especially as it relates to God’s conception and consequent provision. To be blessed of the LORD is without sorrow (Prov 10: 22) it is to work like an ant and eat like an elephant, it is to cease from labour and to enter into God’s rest. Jesus proclaimed during his earthly ministry (Matt 11: 28, 29) that all that are in labour and are heavy laden should come unto him and in him is rest. Paul also confirmed this in (Heb 4: 9, 10) it says that “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God [did] from his”.
