KEY TO UNLOCKING ABUNDANCE
I Kings 17: 10-16, Luke 5: 1-4, II kings 4: 1-7
The kingdom economy is not synonymous with the world economy. In fact it is completely in contrast to the latter, while in the world system economists have learnt to save to be rich or to acquire plenty. In the kingdom economy the contrast is the case, it is only he that has learnt to scatter that can gather (Prov 11: 24). When you hold on in the kingdom it leads to poverty but when you learn to scatter then abundance is inevitable.
Let us start with the first scripture (I Kings 17: 10-16), the brook Cherith went dry after a season of hibernation by Prophet Elijah under God’s instruction after his open confrontation with the then reigning king (King Ahab). The LORD then sent him to a widow in Zarephath who had nothing but just a meal for herself and her son; they had both resolved to die after eating the meal because there was no hope of getting another meal for there was famine in the land according to the word of Elijah. The same Elijah instructed the woman to make this last meal for him Elijah, to learn to ignore the hunger currently experienced by her and her son, what a big test. Because she obeyed the instruction, the bible recorded that the cruise of the oil never ran dry in her home until the same Elijah restored the land back into plenty. The sustainer either of a ministry, a vision, a priest or a God-given assignment can never and will never experience dryness. Becoming a sustainer is therefore not a choice for anyone but wisdom for living a life of abundance even while others are crying of economic recession.
This is a vital area of our faith the best of pastors do not know how to give but they preach daily to other to give unto them, they have indirectly make themselves a stagnant lake and not a running living waters. The LORD will help us all to avoid and prevent ourselves from self-denial.
Today, repent as you read this word and become a true kingdom sustainer, try and see, taste and see that the LORD is good.
In the second scripture, Peter the every experienced fisherman had toiled all night long and couldn’t catch a single fish, in fact he had started washing his net preparing to go home when the LORD Jesus came requesting to use his boat to minister. When he gave his boat to Jesus, after ministration the LORD Jesus told him to launch his net into the deep (A place of abundance); as soon as he obeyed he experience a shipwrecking blessing and a net tearing one. In fact his ship would have completely sunk into the sea, except for the fact that he learnt how to scatter by call upon his neighbors to partake of this divine blessing. One thing to learn about God’s blessing from this story and the previous one is that when God decides to bless anyone, His blessing is always in proportion to His size. The question is this, how big then is God? This is one question that even the scripture cannot explain but we know that the earth is His footstool, how big then is His foot alone? Imagine from this perspective, when He decides to bless a man in proportion to His size, how big then would be His blessing?
Something is common to these two stories and that is the fact that in both situations the widow and Peter had both come to the end of themselves. God’s blessings come to you when you come to the end of you. The wife of the prophet in (II kings 4: 1-7) was owing so much, in fact her sons where about to be taken as a ransom for their debt, She had only oil but Elisha asked her to go and borrow (please note) not a few vessels. Her myopic mind could not retain this abundance, she borrowed just but a fewas soon as the one she borrowed became filled up the oil stayed (verse 6), who then stopped the blessing? was it God or the widow. Obviously, because of lack of knowledge she did. Afterwards, she went to report herself to Elisha, Elisha then told her to sell the oil, pay her debt and live forever with rest abundance (verse 7). It is amazing how we have limited, caged and hindered God by trying to understand Him by our very small myopic minds. The revelation of God you have is subject to how much of God is revealed to you. It is never His entire person; your myopic mind cannot fully comprehend him.
Finally, the key to abundance are obedience to divine instruction, becoming a sustainer and lastly not limiting God by our small minds. God bless you.

I was just a teenager the First time I listened to him. He had been invited for a conference and I remember while he presented the message, I was pondering over every line uttered by this man. They hit me like:
"Wow!" so much so that I thought, after the program I would personally thank him for being such a selfless tool for service! The Conference ended and I missed him because everyone just wanted time with him.
Well, I just consoled myself that "Maybe next time."
Years after, here we are getting to know more about him and his eighteen years in ministry thus far.
