THE TWO KINDS OF HEARING.

       THE TWO KINDS OF HEARING

Rom 10: 17, I Sam 9: 15, John 10: 16

Hearing God is the most vital part of our walk with Him. I have heard many say I work for the LORD, I am a co-labourer in his vineyard. The litmus test to discover your true work for, or with the LORD is in your first, walking with him and that is where the antenna of hearing is of utmost importance.

Paul in his epistle to the church in Ephesus explained this explicitly in (Eph 4: 1). There are two kinds of hearing as discovered in (Rom 10: 17), here the scripture says “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing (again) by the word of the LORD” from this scripture the presence of (,) and (and) in the sentence distinguishes these two kinds of hearing.

The first kind of hearing is the source of faith; it is from the written word of God. When the written word while studying gives us a revelation we hear God by faith and this is what is referred to as a rhema. For example, a child of God that desire complete healing from God can meditate on the portion of the written word that relates to healing and will be healed by faith. (Psa 107: 20)

The second kind of hearing is different from the former one because the source of hearing is not directly from the written word but it is a LIVING word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD to the very elect on a regular basis (Duet 8: 3). The one that proceeded out of His Mouth(His Person) is what qualifies the hearer as oracles, let us look at an interesting scripture in (I Pet 4: 11) it says, “If any man speak, [let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man minister, [let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” from above we discover something very striking about hearing God that if any man (singular “one person” is followed by a plural  “oracles”), what an enigma to discover.

In other words, it means one thing that a singular vessel must be willing (broken) to hear multiple voices from the same God. For example, God sent Isaiah to king Hezekiah to tell him that he will die, but before he left the kings court, He told him to go back to the same person and tell him the king will not die again.

The ability of a broken vessel to hear God and to obey in this multi-dimensional world is what makes that vessel (an oracles).

Hearing God is unique to every vessel and peculiar and dependent absolutely on the pleasures of His will (Eph 1: 5-9). No one then has the right to give another a format to hearing their God, the inner witness technique of hearing (Rom 8: 16) is unique, potent and effective.

Hearing God also includes seeing, when God speaks to you in your inner ear his voice comes with a picture for your sight.

In (I Sam 9: 15), Samuel only heared it in his inner ear a night before he met Saul, he recognized Saul because he had seen Saul in the voice of the LORD while hearing him the previous night.

I prophesy concerning you this season, that the LORD will wake you up morning by morning, he will wake up your ear as that of the learned and He will instruct your reins and establish your goings. (Isa 50: 4). God bless you.

From the Pastor's Desk ... THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE Psa 36: 9, John 1: 4, I John 1: 7, 8 Gods breath (Gen2:7) is what made man a living soul, it means the breath of God is his very life which he gave to us (man) that made us in his image and after his likeness . This same life is in the son (JESUS CHRIST) (I John 5:12) here the bible says “he that has the son, has life and he that has not the son has not life’’ having the son therefore guarantee life to every believer. Life in itself is the very essence of our existence as God’s elect. Life is what makes us his minister and what makes up the ministry he has given us .let us start by examining the following terms; Who is a minister? A minister is a channel or a medium through whom the life of Christ flows into others. From this definition, it means a minister must have life for him to give it out; for it is impossible to give what you don’t have. It is this life that the minist...
From the Pastor's Desk ...(With Dr Alex Olugbami.) THE BLESSING OF THE DEEP (PART II) Emphasis: THE BLESSING OF THE WOMB AND THE BREAST Gen 49: 25, Isa 66: 8, 9 Our focus today will be on spiritual pregnancies, their real meaning and God’s subsequent provision. The call of God to His elect is a total package, it consists of all of God’s pleasures distinctly for an individual, in line with the volume of books written of that same individual(Psa 40: 7). The God that calleth is the same that provideth. The word provision can be broken down into two, which is ‘pro’ for the ‘vision’. The blessing of the deep is always for the propagation of the gospel of Christ Jesus. It is not for personal consumption as it has been erroneously taught. From the scripture above in (Gen 49: 25), Israel was pronouncing blessing on all his children and when it got to the turn of Joseph he mentioned the kind of blessing that is coming the way of Joseph, he said “it is the blessing...
From the Pastor's Desk ... THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE(II) I John 1: 7, Psa 119: 130, Prov 20: 27 Today, we will be looking at the light that we receive from His life as discussed previously. This light is for us to walk with him, first, in fellowship then, by extension affecting the world around us. When we walk in the light of the LORD, He sheds a glory upon our path and giveth us understanding of His very person. It is impossible to fellowship with an unknown God. It simply means as we walk in His light we get to know Him each day, each moment better. In (II Cor4: 18) here the bible says “the path of the just is like a shining light that gets brighter each day unto a perfect day”. It means therefore, that the more we fellowship with Him the more light He sheds on our path, the brighter our path gets and the more of Him we know. What then is the contemporary source of this light? When we study the scripture in (Psa 119: 130) we discover...
